Tiger Stadium – Close to the end

On Monday June 8, 2009 the final court order was issued to remove the remains of Tiger Stadium in Detroit, MI.

Here are a few shots taken this morning. I was not the only one looker. Both photographers as well as ordinary people with a memory of the Stadium were witnesses.

Here is the Michigan Ave. view with the box office missing.

These two shots are also along Michigan Ave. and familiar entrance.

The remains along the 3rd base line show the exposed steel. This appears to the next point of the work.

 The machines used for the demolition  look like some prehistoric beasts.

Photographer and other witnessed were recording the final days of the the old Tiger Stadium.
